Roadtrip 2016 Spring: Vancouver - Seaside - Yachats - Seaside - Vancouver

Day 7 - South Jetty, Darlingtonia, New Secret Beach

Seems just about everyone has headed for the South of Florence Jetty today.

Emma works on that levitation thing.

Looks like a big fluffy pancake - but I can't recommend trying it.

The pose.

Come on you two - there's snacks waiting for me back at the car!

This scene seems to repeat itself again and again.

That's the turnpath back to the parking lot after yet another hard day at the beach.

The darlings at the Darlingtonia Wayside. They eat live insects and are perpetually hungry - mmmm protein.

AKA the Pitcher Plant - they really don't look like they belong here.

Final proof that colonization has started. Assimilation is next.

The root neural system of the colony pods.

Meanwhile, the Mystery Flotsam of the Day.

Right at the end of the day, at the end of yet another random road, a path to an all-new secret beach. We don't have time today, but we'll be back.

The sun pokes through - right at the horizon of day's end.
